APW - Elgin, "Conductor, Howard Williams, Delavan, Wis" marked mvt, 15J, 18S, 14K gold HC recase, front shield with initial, gold cuvette, "The Williams Watch" marked white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, nickel damascene, s#8511055. Gross weight of assembled watch 84.3 dwt (131.1 g). An unusual movement marking that is the first we have encountered.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, some typical micro-fine scratches, some areas of mild oxide to steelwork; flawless dial though with some surface dirtiness; nearly mint hands; case shows light wear, small dent to upper perimeter of rear, reduced engine turning detail with full loss at shoulders; tight brassy replacement bow, crown shows ample wear with ridge break; good glass crystal.
